Sensei Wu is a central character in the LEGO Ninjago theme, first appearing in 2011 with the launch of the original toy line and TV series, Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.
He is the wise and enigmatic mentor to the four (later, six) ninja: Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, and later, Lloyd and Nya. Wu guides them in mastering the art of Spinjitzu and using their elemental powers to protect Ninjago from various threats.
In the "Ninjago: Possession" story arc, Wu faced a particularly challenging ordeal, dealing with the return of Morro, the Master of Wind and Wu's former student who became consumed by darkness.
